Knowing the correct Filipino Phrases can take you miles!!! Learning and using a few Filipino words while with Filipino seamen is a very powerful way of saying "I like you." Common greetings such as "Kumusta kayo?" (How are you?); Magandang umaga" (Good morning); "Magandang gabi" (Good Evening); "Mabuhay" (long live); etc. can melt the ice with your Filipino Crew in no time!

In the attached picture are mentioned some common and friendly phrases (some of them will twist your tongue :blink: ) which you will often encounter while sailing in a merchant ship.

Tell us other unique Filipino phrases that you have heard along with their meanings. And no naughty ones ;)
